Free Windows 8 Displeases PC Makers

Windows 8 To Windows 10

There have been voices aplenty implying that Microsoft is thinking about offering a free Windows 8 although not everyone is pleased with this kind of strategy.
Even though nothing is official in this aspect, yet.
Windows 10 was on the final day of September, and the Windows 10 Technical Preview in the beginning of this month, but through it all Microsoft has not talked regarding the pricing scheme of its next generation operating system.
But a free lunch also have a significant effect on new PC sales, and could cause problems for hardware vendors. Some OEMs have even expressed this dissatisfaction with this. Privately, of course.
All this comes from this that reveals that notebook manufacturers in particular have taken a little cynical attitude about Windows 10, considering that this type of promo is actually a doubled edged sword for the business.
They consider that no one would actually possess a need to buy new hardware in this way.
Honest point, maybe, but does anyone expect people that recently bought new Windows 8 desktop computers, notebooks and even tablet computers to update to newer versions this easily?
Windows 8 hardware sales have really just started to pick up, it must be said.
Regardless, Microsoft truly need to work this out the correct manner, find an ideal equilibrium. Which would be to say lending a little hand to the hardware vendors, while convincing the current user base to update.
Easier said than done.
